About the Author

Kate Rademacher grew up outside of Boston, and she lived in Chapel Hill, North Carolina with her family for twenty-five years. Kate is currently a Candidate for Holy Orders to the Priesthood in the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina in the Episcopal Church.

A graduate of Wesleyan University in Connecticut and the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Kate’s previous professional work focused on international public health. She currently attends seminary at Sewanee, University of the South.

Kate is the author of three books about her faith journey, Following the Red Bird: First Steps into a Life of Faith; Their Faces Shone: A Foster Parent’s Lessons on Loving and Letting Go; and Reclaiming Rest: The Promise of Sabbath, Solitude, and Stillness in a Restless World.

In 2023, Kate assumed leadership of Writing for Your Life which offers support and training for spiritual writers.
