Upcoming Events

McIntyre's Books, Pittsboro, NC - September 22, 2018 - 11am

Join local author Kate Rademacher for a discussion about her memoir, "Following the Red Bird: First Steps into a Life of Faith." Kate will read excerpts from her book and invite the group to discuss how we can learn to love our neighbors as ourselves– even when our religious, political, and cultural views differ widely from one another.

Kate will be joined by Becket Royce, a professional audio book narrator and voice over artist. Becket recorded the audiobook version of "Following the Red Bird," which was released in March. Becket will share reflections on what it was like to record the audiobook and discuss how audiobooks are changing the publishing industry overall. St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, Durham, NC - July 22, 2018

Join Kate Rademacher and Rebecca Callahan for a discussion about vocation and discernment. How can we faithfully engage in the work of listening for God’s voice and trying to understand God’s will for our lives? How do we respond when our sense of vocation contradicts – or is even diametrically opposed – to another person’s understanding of their calling? There will be time for open discussion and the group will be invited to share their experiences and thoughts about discernment and understanding vocation.
